Classification: HED achondrite (Diogenite)

History: The meteorite was purchased from a meteorite dealer in Morocco.

Physical characteristics: Brownish rock with minor fusion crust.

Petrography: The meteorite shows a protogranular texture predominatly of orthopyroxene up to 4.5 mm in size with minor interstitial augite. Accessory phases include silica, Ti-poor chromite, and troilite. No metallic iron found. The meteorite appears unbrecciated and contains few shock melt pockets.

Geochemistry: low-Ca pyroxene: Fs26.7±0.2Wo2.7±0.1 (Fs26.4-27.1Wo2.6-3.0, FeO/MnO=25-33, n=9); Ca-pyroxene: Fs11.5±0.3Wo43.5±0.2 (Fs11.2-11.9Wo43.2-43.7, FeO/MnO=25-33, n=7)
