Classification: HED achondrite (Eucrite, melt breccia)

History: The meteorite was purchased from a meteorite dealer on the mineral fair in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, France.

Physical characteristics: Five grayish fragments with some fusion crust.

Petrography: Eucrite-melt breccia composed of up to 1 cm basaltic and bulk rock clast plus up to 1.5 mm sized mineral fragments in abundant finely recrystallized shock melted matrix. Matrix has abundant pores and mineral grains entrained in the melt matrix often show resorption textures. Main minerals are exsolved pyroxenes and calcic plagioclase. Minor phases include silica, chromite, ilmenite, and FeS; no metal detected.

Geochemistry: low-Ca pyroxene: Fs58.6±0.5Wo3.8±0.6 (Fs57.9-59.2Wo3.0-4.6, FeO/MnO=28-30, n=7); augite exsolutions: Fs26.2±0.5Wo43.2±0.7 (Fs25.6-27.0Wo42.1-43.8, FeO/MnO=28-33, n=7); calcic plagioclase: An89.3±0.4 (An88.5-89.9, n=7)
